Joseph "Little Joe" Delfred Swain Jr., was born on April l, 1921 to Joseph and Margaret (Allery) Swain in Belcourt, ND. He was a farmhand for John Eggle for 42 years. Joseph enjoyed farming, gardening, working on vehicles, visiting, and having his family and friends over for company. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.
Joseph is survived by daughters: Debra Swain of Belcourt and Virginia (Allen) DeCoteau of Bismarck; son: Joseph (Val) Swain of Lawrence, KS; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Hanson of Boulder, MT; many nieces and nephews and John Eggle's children.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ida Houle and Zelma Pflugardt; and grandson, Samuel Swain.
