Robert Rhondale (Sage) Jones, 22 of Vernal, died in an airplane accident near Cedar City on May 3, 1999. He was born August 15, 1976 in Vernal to Ronald H. and Rhonda Powell Jones.
Robert was a student and Yoga Instructor. He graduated from Uintah High School and attended the University of Utah. He enjoyed people, traveling, meditation and yoga. He also loved the out-of-doors, hiking, music, poetry and especially being with his family.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harry Alton Jones.
He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Rhonda Jones, Vernal; sisters, Ramanda (Michael) Nash, Ronell, Royeal Jones and Rhondee Jones all of Vernal; grandparents, Robert and Norma Powell, DeeLoris Jones, and Penny Jones, Vernal. He is also survived by a very special friend, Lisa Keays, Cedar City.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 8, at 11 a.m. in the Maeser Stake Center, 2745 W. 100 N. Friends may call at Thomson's Vernal Mortuary on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center on Saturday.
Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of Thomson's Vernal Mortuary.
