Bertram Affleck, 90, of 2 Oak Street, Ellsworth, died Monday, February 7, 1977, in Washington Hospital.
He was born January 27, 1887 in Liverpool, England, a son of Willam and Caroline Renton Affleck. He was a retired employee of Bethlehem Mines Corp. and a member of UMWA Local 1190.
Mr. Affleck was a member of Beallsville Lodge No. 237, F & AM, for the past 56 years.
Surviving are three sons, William Affleck, Rockland, Mass.; Deighton Affleck, Washington and John Bertram Affleck, Harrisburg; five daughters, Lillie May, wife of David Roach, Texas City, Tex.; Mavis, wife of Irvin Schick, Pittsburgh; Henrietta, wife of John Pence and Anna Kay, wife of Robert Wright, both of Houston, Tex. and Janice Shriner, at home; one nephew, Robert Affleck, Ellsworth; one niece, Caroline anderson, Level Green, Pa,; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. His wife, Henrietta Calverly Affleck, died October 4, 1976. One son, Frederick, and one daughter, Susan, are deceased.
