ESTHERVILLE Funeral services for Ardyce A. (Hennings) Brawner, 74, of Estherville will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church in Estherville with Pastor Mark Gabbard officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville. Interment will be at East Side Memorial Cemetery in Estherville.

She died Friday, June 18, 2010, at Rosewood Manor in Estherville.

Ardyce A. (Hennings) Brawner, the daughter of Harry and Ella (Bruegmann) Hennings, was born Feb. 2, 1936, in Hartley.

She received her education in the Hartley schools.

On June 17, 1956, Ardyce was united in marriage to Darrel Brawner at Hartley. After their marriage the couple made their home in Council Bluffs for 10 years. Then the family moved to Estherville where they have made their home since. Ardyce was employed by the Estherville School District at McKinley School for 14 years, working in the lunchroom.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Estherville where she was active in Presbyterian Women and the Sewing Circle. She also served as a deacon in the church.

Left to cherish Ardyce's memory are her husband of 54 years, Darrel of Estherville; her children, Patti Egeland and her husband, Tim, of Estherville; Randy Brawner and his wife, Gina, of Maricopa, Ariz.; Lori Milburn and her husband, Eric, of Estherville; Lisa Trudeau and her husband, Jeff, of Wells, Maine; six grandchildren; and brother, Ronald Hennings and his wife, Jan of Hartley.

Preceding Ardyce in death were her parents and sister and brother-in-law, Marlene Skovgaard, and her husband, Franklin.
