Henry was the son of Jesse and Sylvia Silvers. He spent his youth on a farm and remained on a farm until about twelve years before he died, when he retired and moved to Leon. He left one brother E. A Silvers of LeRoy Iowa, two sisters, Mrs. Priscilla Tharp of Bakersfield California and Mrs. Maggie Gustino of Kellerton, Iowa. He was buried in the Trullinger cemetery close to his old home.
