Donald L. Johnson, 79, of Lewisville, passed into the arms of Jesus, Sunday evening, January 2, 2011. Don was born to Virgil and Ruth Johnson October 16, 1931 in Lewisville. He honorably served our country with the United States Army during World War II seeing action in France and Germany. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church for 20 years. Don worked as a stone mason, a machinist for LTV and as a State Certified Plumbing Inspector for the City of Lewisville for over 22 years. He married the love of his life Gladys Poirier October 15, 1955. Don was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Floyd, Cloyce, Lawson, Olan and Curtis Johnson and brother-in- law, Gene Ludolph. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gladys Johnson of Lewisville; daughter, Deborah Ann Huston and her husband, Michael of Conneaut, Ohio; sisters, Margaret Ludolph of Green Valley, Arizona, Dorothy Moore and her husband, Cecil of Mesquite, Marie Barrett of Lewisville and Clara Mehne and her husband, Paul of Rowlett; sister-in-law Mary Johnson of Bedford, TX; grandchildren, Leanne Reneé Huston and Brian Scott Huston of Conneaut, Ohio, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm, Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 S. Edmonds Lane, Lewisville. Funeral will be 11am, Thursday at Liberty Baptist Church, Lewisville with Dr. Dick Webster officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Hall Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Donald's name to Liberty Baptist Church Missions Program, 602 Manco Rd., Lewisville, TX 75067.
