MRS LILLIE STARNES SMITH Mrs Lillie Starnes Smith age 68 of 3541 Blessing St passed away Friday December 31 1971 in Memorial Hospital Funeral services at 2 pm Sunday in Greenland Avenue Baptist Church the Rev Aubery T Patterson pastor of Carmel Baptist Church will officiate Interment will follow in Glen-wood Cemetery Mooresville NC Born May 28 1903 in Charlotte Daughter of the late Elijah and Mattie Kis-siah Starnes she was a member of Greenland Ave Baptist Church and a member of the Esther Sunday School class She is survived by her husband James Dennis Smith: one daughter Mrs Hazel Dennis of Jacksonville Fla: two sons Arcell Smith and Wayne L Smith both of Charlotte one brother Jess Starnes of Mooresville NC Twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren Pallbearers will be Ed Dish Hyder Griffin R H Mc-Donough Jack Lopez Henry Mayfield and Roy Smart Mrs Smith will be taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour Arrangements by McEwen Funeral Service.
