ABINGDON - D. Gale Adcock, 42, of 302 W. North St. died at 6:35 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at his residence. Born Sept. 19, 1959, in Galesburg to Donald W. and Ola Brooks Adcock, he married Deann ''Dee'' Hawkins on April 25, 1981, in Abingdon. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Christa Adcock and Danielle Adcock, both at home; his parents of Abingdon; his grandmother, Lola Heimer of Abingdon; and one sister, Tereasa Downs of Lacon. He worked for Butler Manufacturing in Galesburg for seven years. He previously had worked for Gold Dairy in Galesburg for six years and for Hi Lo Grocery in Abingdon for 11 years. He was a member of Abingdon Christian Church. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at HinchliffPearson-West Abingdon Chapel, where visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.
