Caroline married Marcus Pierson on Aug. 26, 1956.
Survivors of the immediate family include four daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Doug Lechner of Grand Island, Chyrel and Mike Hall of Red Bluff, Calif., Connie and Joseph Walz of Kearney and Melodie and Chad Funk of Clearwater; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joanne and Don Cress of Shelton, Wash., and Pat and Warren Turner of Nyssa, Ore.; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She grew up in the Shelton, Wash., area and attended Shelton High School, graduating in 1955.
Caroline married Marcus Pierson on Aug. 26, 1956, and to this union, four daughters were born. They lived in Seattle and moved in 1958 to Ewing, where they farmed. From 1976 to 1984 Caroline lived in O'Neill, where she worked at the Legion Club front desk as a hostess. She moved to Grand Island in 1984 and worked at Shopko, Family Dental Care and then Hobby Lobby.
Caroline attended Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Extension Club and was also a 4-H leader while her children were growing up.
Caroline was preceded in death by her parents.
