John was born in Grant County, Indiana to Oda and Ocella (Ricks) Cragun, and they preceded him in death.
He was a 1968 graduate of Mississinewa High School.
He was employed at Riverside Cemetery for over 20 years, and was currently employed at the Chronicle-Tribune in the circulation department.
He was also a former employee at Owens-Illinois Glass Factory.
He enjoyed softball and listening to Beach Boys, and oldies music.
He enjoyed making cookies, Bundt Cakes and his famous Chexmex for Christmas.
Visitation is Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. @ Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, IN
Services are Friday, June 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. @ Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, IN with Reverend Mick Simpkins officiating.
Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Gas City, IN
Survivors include son, Rob (Trisha) Cragun, Mesa, AZ; brother, Dale Cragun, Gas City, IN; granddaughter, Madison Cragun, Mesa, AZ; grandson, Jeffrey Cragun, Mesa, AZ.
Nieces and Nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by brothers, Don, Vaughn, & Roger Cragun.
