Joseph Barker b. June 4, 1781 in Brandon, Rutland, Vermont to Joseph Barker and Martha Tuttle. Married 1803 in Onieda County, NY to Lucinda Lewis. Had the following children: Diana, Joseph, Noble, Adeline, Mary, Timothy, Francis, James and Russell.
Private in Captain Bill's Company in War of 1812.
Received 160 acres of bounty land in LaCrosse County,WI on September 10, 1860. Later moved to Walworth County, WI. Died February 28, 1857 at Millard, Walworth, Wisconsin.

Timothy Putnam (1818-1878) married Elvira SHUMWAY (1827-1886). James B. (1823-1898) married his cousin Almeda (1824-1901), daughter of Hugh BARKER. Francis (1821-1875) married Mrs. Maria BALDWIN. Russell married Sophia BAKER. Adeline (1811-1892) was wife of Booth B. DAVIS, of Elkhorn; Mary L., wife of Hiram TAYLOR; Diana, second wife of Stephen G. WEST, Sr., married November 9, 1841.
