Obituary (Moberly (MO) Monitor-Index, Dec. 3, 1960)- Madison- James O. (Tobe) Freels, 78, Route 1, Madison, died at 12:10 o'clock yesterday afternoon in Whitaker Hospital at Moberly. He had been ill since June, and in the hospital a number of times since then. Born March 9, 1882, he was the son of the late William E. and Jane Stephens Freels. Mr. Freels lived his entire life on the farm where he was born. He married Effie Marie Embree, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roger Embree. Mr. Freels was a member of the Monroe Chapel Methodist Church. Surviving besides the wife are a son, James William, near Madison, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body is at the Thompson-Mackler Funeral Home in Madison, where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, with the Rev. William Hern, Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery at Madison.

Freels were held at Thompson-Mackler Funeral Home Sunday afternoon, with many friends and relatives attending. The service was conducted by the Rev. William Hern, with special music by Mrs. Leonard Hendricks and Marshall Wood, with Mrs. L. R. Barnes at the organ. Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Madison.
