Maybelle LaBrish came to the U.S. with her parents, James and Ellen LaBrish, when she was about 5 years old. She married Thomas W. McCarthy on 22 March 1917 in Kane County, IL. Maybelle and Thomas McCarthy had two daughters together. Maybelle LaBrish McCarthy died in 1944, about 6 months after her husband's death. She is buried in the same cemetery, but in a different location, and has no personal headstone.
