On October 21, 1889 Elder Michael Knutti died in Montpelier, Idaho. He was born in 1839, joined The Church of Jesus Christ on February 14, 1877, and emigrated with his family on June 20 of that same year to Zion. In October 1887, following the call from a servant of God, he left his family and his new home, and went on a mission to his old homeland, which he filled honorably, and then on June 3,1889, he returned to his home. Soon after his return, he took ill. The happiness he so eagerly awaited, to be with his loved ones, was granted for but a short time. He has gone to receive the reward for his faithfulness. To those left behind, the deeply sorrowing, sorely tested, we dedicate our heartfelt sympathy. (From "Der Stern" 11-15-1889)
