Willie L. ‘Bill' Andrews
Willie L. "Bill" Andrews, 79, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at his residence in Indianapolis.
He was born Sept. 20, 1924, in Lafayette, Tenn. His parents were Jesse James and Martha Bell (Brooks) Andrews. He married Melba (Morgan) Andrews on April 20, 1946. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Barbara J. Bush of Indianapolis; two brothers, Wesley Andrews of Cloverdale and James "Jimmy" Andrews of Franklin, Ky.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Steven Andrews and Michael A. Andrews; a brother, Jesse Lee Andrews; and two sisters, Lucy Turns and Louise Kinnaird.
He retired from Paper Manufacturers Co. as a supervisor after 32 years.
He enjoyed fishing and flower gardening.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
The Rev. Ron Reed will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, 1977 State Road 135 in Greenwood. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
