On June 13, 1923, Stella married Walter Zenger at Fairbury, Nebraska. Mrs. Zenger was a member of United Methodist Church of Haddam where she taught Sunday school and was a member of a sewing club. She was a homemaker and was employed for a time at a nursing home in Washington. She spent the majority of her years in Haddam, until entering Belleville Health Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter; two sons, Walter Jr., and Wade W.; two grandsons, Kevin and Sheldon; three sisters, Nellie June, Maude Lockmiller, Leta Landis; three brothers, Calvin, Howard and Francis.
Survivors included five sons, Wendell, Winfred, Wesley, Warren and Weldon; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren.
