Mrs. Amarilla Force, A well known resident of Mendon, died at her home Wednesday, Dec. 27th. Aramilla Gates was born in the town of Mendon in 1828, and nearly all of her life had been lived in the town where she died. She was married to Mr. Force in 1849. He died several years ago. She is survived by three nieces, Mrs. Samuel Whitcomb, of Mendon, Mrs. Jesse Covert of Lima, and Ida L. Chambers of Scottsville, and two nephews, George Gates of Lima and D. Frank Gates of Mendon. The funeral was held from her late home on Saturday, December 30th at 2 o'clock. Interment at Mendon Cemetery. Mrs. Force for a number of years had made her home in the Hurley Murphy home where she was tenderly cared for by Mrs. Murphy, who did everything for her comfort.
