Mantee – Services for Mary Andrews Hurst, 71, who died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at North Mississippi Medical Center, were held 10 am Tuesday at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rusty Miller officiating.

Interment followed at Old Montpelier Cemetery at Cedar Bluff.

Ms. Hurst, a native of West Point, was the daughter of the late John Brady and Sarah Pearl Coggins Andrews.

She married Joe Dempsey Hurst on Mar. 26, 1949. She was a machine operator at PEP Industries in Houston.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Peggy Joe Hurst and Judy Elaine Thompson, both of Mantee; one son, James Hurst of Sharon Springs, N T: 10 grandchildren, Tonya Wilson of Bonaire, Ga., Brady Britt of Warner Robbins, Ga., Dale Peterson and Scott Peterson, both of Deland, Fla., Robert Joe Thompson of Houlka, Elena Burgess, John Thompson, Heather Thompson, all of Mantee, Joshua Hurst of Sharon Springs, N Y, and Angie Hurst of Cooperstown, N Y; five great grandchildren, Bryant Wilson and Hurter Wilson, both of Bonaire, Ga., Michelle Diane Britt of Warner Robbins, Ga., Noah Orrin Peterson of Deland, Fla., John Colby Burgess of Mantee; one sister, Erma Ruth Borders, Mulberry, Fla., one brother, Bobby Andrews, Orlando, Fla., two sisters-in-law, Estelle Montgomery of Mantee and Catherine Hodnett of Doris, Calif., one brother-in-law, Hugh Richard Hurst, and his wife, Mary of Cedar Bluff.

Pallbearers were Dale Peterson, Scott Peterson, Travis Hurst, Lee Burgess, John Thompson, Brent Moore, Robert Joe Thompson, Jerry Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers were Mary Grace Hurts, Wilma Wright, Cora Dendy, Don and Gladys Moore, Sammie McNeel, Vern McNeel and Roger Davis.
