L. W. SULLINS PASSES AWAY AT THE HOSPITAL

Yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Sisters' Hospital, occured the death of a familiar figure of the past thirty years on the streets of Port Townsend, in the person of L. W. Sullens, age 77 years.
L. W. Sulllins was a native of Kentucky, having been born in that state June 15, 1828. He was married there in 1846, but on account of having become mixed up in one pf the family feuds so common to that state, he migrated to Missouri with his wife in that year. In 1850 (actually was 1852) he crossed the plains and settled in Oregon. A little later he went to Fort Canby, where he resided until 1873, when the family moved to Port Townsend, and wher he has since resided. He was a member of the G. A. R., and an Odd Fellow in good standing, and under whose auspices he will be buried. He leaves to mourn his loss four children, Mrs. Osgood, of Seattle; Mrs. Charles Tinsley, of Seattle; John Sullins of Astoria; and Thomas Sullins of Mount Sicker. B. C.
