Funeral services for Mettie Jean Beavers, 94, of Pineville were held at the County Line Cemetery in Sikes on July 1 with the Rev. Sherwood Smith officiating.
Mrs. Beavers died June 29 at Glenwood Medical Center.
Born April 10, 1909 in Sikes, she was a nurse aid.
She is survived by one son, E.C. 'Joe' Lambert and wife Hayrese of West Monroe; two sisters, Velma Roan of West Monroe and Claudia Lawrence of West Monroe; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.
