Charles L. Alexander, 55, died in a local hospital Tuesday following a long illness.
Mr. Alexander was born September 17, 1885 at Fayetteville, Tennessee and had resided in Dallas for 46 years. In 1911 he began working for The News, leaving its employ in 1926. His brother, G. A. Alexander is still employed in the circulation department. Mr. Alexander was a member of the A. C. Garrett Masonic Lodge.
Services will be Thursday. Burial in Oakland Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearl Alexander; two sisters; and two brothers.
