SUCCUMB TO THEIR INJURIES.
The frightful accident which befell Mrs. Henry Paysen and her four-year-old daughter, Amelia, recorded in Sunday's AGE, resulted in the death of both, Sunday morning. The bodies of both were burned so severely that recovery was impossible and they survived the terrible ordeal less than twelve hours.
Mrs. Paysen was born Sept. 17, 1873, in Germany and came to this country when six years of age, settling in Clinton with her parents. Her little daughter, in an unsuccessful effort to save whose life she met her death, was but four years of age. There are left beside the grief-stricken husband, two children, Harry and Grace. The boy is but three years of age and the girl 1.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 Monday afternoon, from the residence, 301 Sixteenth avenue, followed by interment at Springdale. A great number of friends attended the sad obsequies and followed the remains to their last resting place. The affair is indeed a sad one and the husband is heartbroken over it."
