Hildred Baker Hammer, a retired truck driver, died Saturday at a North Richland Hills hospital. He was 71. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Van Alstyne Cemetery. Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hammer was born in Anna and had lived in Fort Worth since the 1940s. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors: Wife, Bonnie Hammer of Fort Worth; three sons, Hubert Arney Hammer of Garland and Jimmy H. Hammer and Jackie Don Womack, both of Los Angeles; four daughters, Jeannie Lee Nance and Judy Fay King, both of Dallas, and Joan Marie Gibson and Regina Cobb, both of Fort Worth; two sisters, Mildred Lockridge of McKinney and Mamie Hammer of Lake Dallas; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
