Obituary

Ben F. Lasley, son of King and Lisa Lasley, was born at Schuyler, Mo. On August 6, 1891, and departed this life at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry Devine at Fallis, Okla. On September 7, 1942, at the age of eighty one years, one month and 1 day.
At the age of twenty-one he removed from the place of his birth to Elk Creek, Johnson County, State of Nebraska, where he resided for a number of years.
On Nov. 11, 1885 he was united in marriage with Nancy Jane Kincade, and to this union three children were born, a son, Fred Lasley, and two daughters, Mrs. A.L. Matheny and Mrs. Harry Devine.
They made their home at Mayberry, Neb. Until 1902 when they located on a farm northwest of Minco. That he drew at a Government land-drawing at El Reno at the opening of the Caddo Indian country to white settlement, where they resided for a number of years, later selling that farm and buying another directly west of Minco, Oklahoma where they resided until the death of Mrs. Lasley on June 3, 1934, after which Mr, Lasley discontinued house-keeping and thereafter lived with his two daughters above named.
Mr. Lasley united with the Baptist church more than thirty-five years ago, if which he was a devoted and loyal member until his death.
He leaves to mourn his loss his son, Fred Lasley; two daughters , Mrs. A.L. Matheny of Holly, Okla and Mrs. Harry Divine of Fallis, OK.
