Dies at 65

Rollin Chester Martin, 65, of 620 S. 5th St., died at 4:50 p.m. Friday in Hendrick Memorial Hospital after suffering a stroke at his home Thursday.

Mr. Martin came here as a child from Adair County, Ky., where he was born Jan. 22, 1894.

Mr. Martin married Lillie Flanagan Jan. 22, 1933, in Anson.

He retired as an employee of Lavender's Cafeteria in 1954. Since then he had been engaged in ranching and farming.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Flippins, 1239 Westmoreland St., Mrs. Opal D. Williams of San Antonio, and Miss Judy Martin of the home; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Lottie Miller of 1114 Cherry St.; one stepson, Dean Flanagan of Terminal; four sisters, Mrs. Nannie Bell Allard of Colorado City, Mrs. Melvina Allard of Albuquerque, N.M., Mrs. Viola Reynolds of Arkansas, and Miss Ella May Fagans of Fort Worth.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Elliott's Funeral Home.
