Pembroke - Mrs. Blanche W. DuBose, 78, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2005, at Candler Hosptal, after a short illness.

Blanche is survived by her loving husband, David O. DuBose Sr. They were married for 60 years. She was born in Pembroke, lived in Savannah and then returned to Pembroke. Blanche worked as a switchboard operator for the Greyhound Bus Company, a sales clerk for J.C. Penney, in the sewing industry, as a cafeteria worker for Bryan County High School, as well as a homemaker, wife and mother. She loved cooking, gardening and canning. Blanche was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and was the treasurer for the church for a number of years. Blanche is predeceased by her parents, James (Jim) and Thelma Spears White; granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Breaux; sister, Marie W. Jernigan and three brothers, James Hugh White, Wallace LeRoy White Sr. and Donald Hugh White.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Davis and Barbara DuBose Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Tommy Breaux; four grandsons and spouses, David and Tonya DuBose III, T.J. Breaux, Douglas S. DuBose, Charles and Tiffany Breaux; three great-grandchildren, Charles Breaux Jr., Krista Ann DuBose and DeJeanne' Elizabeth Breaux.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 3, 2005, at 3:00 p.m., in the Morrison Memorial Chapel. The Reverend Dan Bryant will officiate.
