Ronald Nunley Tolliver, 76, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010, at his home on Stark Ridge in Elliott County, after a lengthy illness.
Ronald was born July 1, 1934, to Roy E. and Mary Belle Nunley in Westwood. He was their only child.
He was a Christian and a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Hazel Park, Mich. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for four years and was a retired machinist.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant daughter.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 47 years, Doris Jean Nickles Tolliver, two sons, Brian Kent and wife Shirley Marsee Tolliver of Florence, S.C., and Barry Randal Tolliver of Stark Ridge, two grandchildren, Brooke Ashley Tolliver and Adam Ryan Tolliver, both of Florence.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011, at Lewis and Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Brian K. Tolliver officiating. Burial will follow in the Atlee-Nickles Cemetery on Stark Ridge.
