Deceased Name: IRENE G. MANNING

A memorial service for Irene G. Manning, a Southwest Portland resident, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Skyline Funeral Home. Interment will be in Skyline Memorial Gardens.

She died of cancer Dec. 26 in her home at the age of 74.

She was born Nov. 29, 1916, in Great Falls, Mont. She moved to Portland with her family in 1922 and attended Jefferson High School and the University of Oregon extension center. Mrs. Manning was a homemaker.

After the death of her first husband, George Bekooy, she married R.W. Manning. Mr. Manning died in February.

Survivors include her sons, Jan Bekooy of Beaverton and Rodger G. Bekooy of Portland; daughter, Kay Brennan of Corvallis; sisters, Marie Summers of Hemet, Calif., Louise John of Portland, Maxine May of Fair Oaks, Calif., and Eleanor Wesman of Olympia; and 10 grandchildren.

The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to Hospice House.
