Confined to his bed since Thanksgiving Day, CHARLES A. BAER*, aged 56 years, died of heart disease at 3:45
Sunday afternoon at his home, 401 Rosenthal Street. He had been in failing health the past few years, but
not until Friday was his illness serious.
Deceased was born in this city June 26, 1862, and resided here nearly all his life.
He received his education in the public schools, and when he attained the required age, began working. For a
number of years, Mr. Baer, had been in the employ of the Reading Railway Co. as an engineer at the Pike
Street yards. Deceased was affiliated with Reading Chamber, No. 26, O. K. of F.; Consistory, No. 3, O. K. of F., and the P. & R. Relief Association.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. John Gilbert, and a brother, Harry, both of this city.
