Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Fisher, 54, a life-long local resident and the widow of Louis Fisher, were conducted Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Fisher succumbed at noon Sunday at her home here to a heart condition that had resulted in her serious illness for the last three weeks. The deceased was a daughter of Oscar Hyatt and Ellen Fisher Hyatt, both deceased. The body was taken to the Shoultz-Werry Funeral Home and Rev. Earl Frazier, Grayville, IL. conducted the funeral service in Shoultz-Werry chapel at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial was in Mapel Hell cemetery. (New Harmony Times Dec 1959)
