Ted S. Ahl of Northeast Portland died of an aneurysm Sunday in a Portland hospital. He was 80.
A private memorial service will be held.
He was born July 12, 1910, in Casey, Iowa. He lived for a number of years in California, where he was employed as secretary and treasurer of Local 382 of the Printing Specialties and Paper Products Union.
After moving to the Portland area in 1955, Mr. Ahl worked in the same capacity for Printing Specialties Local 387 until his retirement in 1972. He married Lucille Knox in July 1956.
Survivors besides his wife include his sons, Norman L. of Aloha and Teddy E. of Hayward, Calif.; daughter, Annette K. Hooper of Bartlett, Tenn.; sisters, Margaret Jarvis, Irene Ahl Ventura and Carrie Sturdy, all of Gresham; brothers, Bernard of Gresham and Harry of Iowa; and seven grandchildren.
Interment was in Skyline Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the Providence Medical Center hospice program.
