Mr. Char Fisher, son of Capt. & Mrs. M. Fisher, who left his home about 2 years ago, returned again during his absence he visited nearly all the western & several eastern states, Central Amer., the West Indies & London. (Argus Dec 19, 1890)

Moved to Evansville Indiana and worked with furniture repair. Left home unannounced for 8 years traveled Europe during the 1920's following his wife's death in 1919.

Grandfather Col Jacob Geiger, founded Huntingburg and built the first house there: Chas Fisher born there came to Evansville 41 years ago, once had large restaurant on 4th street near Chestnut. Furniture business 25 years, store on Col, between 3rd and 2nd avenue St. Louis and St. Charles Missouri. Retired 1933, returned to Evansville made 7 trips around the world.
