Marvin Askins, 35
Funeral for Marvin Askins, 35, who died at 12:25 a.m. Monday at Hendrick Memorial hospital of pneumonia, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Laughter Funeral home. The Rev. R. A. Work, Assembly of God minister, will officiate with burial following in the Hawley cemetery.
Askins was born in Dickens county May 25, 1905. He was married to Cora May Goyne at Dickens City, October 18, 1924, and in 1930 they moved to Abilene.
Survivors include his wife, three children, Leonard, 12, Wayne, 6, and Helen Ruth, 2; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Askins and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Purselley, Welch.
Pallbearers will be Floy Morris, Grad Morris, Kingston Brady Norris, Kingston Norris, Frank Carson and Robert Owens.
