Another victim has been claimed in the Baltimore & Ohio Yards here and as a consequence of a misstep or fall no one knows which Ernest S. Orndorff met death about 10:30 Monday night. Orndorff was on of the 20 brakemen employed on the shifting crew that distributes the cars over the hump in the yards. A car is shunted over the hump and a brakeman rides it to its destination in some train being made up. The brakeman then walks back and swings on another car. No one knows exactly how Orndorff met his death, but an instant after he was seen swinging on a car his comrades saw his body ground beneath the wheels. He was madly mangled, the wheel cuting his body in two.
The remains were taken to the morgue of J.F. Sims, where they were prepared for burial. The body will be taken to Ohiopyle tomorrow for interment there. Orndorff was 21 years, six months and four days old and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Orndorff of Arch Street, Connellsville.
He was not married.
