Lulu May (May) Colburn, eldest daughter of Eugene Adelbert (Albert) Colburn and Ada J. Joyner was born on May 11, 1887 in South Dakota, United States of America.
May and her older brother, Clayton Eugene Colburn, and younger sister Maud Emily Colburn, were orphaned when their father Eugene Adelbert Colburn died on March 22, 1893 and their mother Ada Jane (nee Joyner) Colburn died on May 28, 1893.
May Holmes (Colburn) married Joseph Albert (Bert) Holmes.
May immigrated to Canada in 1904 and settled in Last Mountain, Saskatchewan where they started a family (two sons and three daughters). May & Bert later settled in Elbow, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Lulu May on October 29, 1965 aged 78 years. She was cremated & laid to rest at the Elbow, Saskatchewan Cemetery interred next to her husband Bert.
