Marie H. Schneider, 91, Lanesville, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at Caring Hearts and Hands Facility in New Salisbury.
Born Jan. 1, 1919, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Carter and Molly Green Adams.
She was a U.S. Steel and ICI retiree and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church near Lanesville, the LWML Missionaries, Berean Searchers, Hannah Circle, AAL and Friends Who Care.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Schneider; two sisters, Lora Taylor and Blanche Curts; and a brother, John Curts.
Survivors include three daughters, JoAnn Tillis of New Albany, Alice Hancock of Lanesville and June Stark of Seagoville, Texas; a brother, Edward M. Curts of New Albany; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Dec. 31, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 1, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, Jan. 1, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church south of Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: the Rev. Christopher Truelsen.
The family suggests memorial gifts to St. John's Lutheran Church.
