At one time, he was a streetcar conductor.
He was married to, and divorced from, Martha Augusta Williams.
He and Martha had a son, who survived both of his parents (and is alive as I write this). Lawrence also adopted a son of his wife Martha and her first husband, Charles E. Albanesius, who was later named Charles R. Williams (now deceased).
Lawrence died in the VA Hospital in Aspinwall.
