MINCO MINSTREL
April 4, 1913

Death has again invaded our village, this time to remove from earth, Robert Lester Dunnaway, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Dunnaway, who died at the home of his parents Monday morning, March 31, 1913, of the dread disease tuberculosis at the age of 17 years, 4 months and 14 days.
Robert Dunnaway was born on a farm five miles east of Union City, Okla., on August 16, 1895. His early boyhood was spent on the farm until about eight years ago when his parents moved to Minco, where he remained several years. Going to California two years ago last fall Ribert remained in that state until last September, when he was forced to return home on account of bad health. He spent a month at Mangum last winter in the hope that he might be benefited by the change, but the disease could not be checker, and he became gradually weaker and with wonderful fortitude prepared for the end which he knew was inevitable. At his own request her was given the rite of baptism, and permitted to take part in religious services conducted at the home by the Christian church.
The funeral was conducted at the family home in this city Tuesday afternoon with a sermon y D.A. Nunn. Interment was in Minco cemetery. A father, mother, one brother and five sisters survive to mourn his departure. Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Lauer of El Reno were in attendance at the funeral.
Mr. and Mrs. Dunnaway have lost two sons recently, and have the sympathy of the community in their affliction.
