FOR ELLRA UNGRY, 94


Funeral services for Ellra Ungry, 94, retired gardner who had made his home here for the past 10 years with a son, James, before going to the Horton Nursing Home at Glenwood last fall, were held Wednesday, April 25, at the Perryman Nelson Chapel.
He died Sunday, April 22, at the Horton Nursing home. Dr. Richard Chambers officiated at the rites and burial was in the Emerson cemetery.
Floral committees members were Mrs. Jessie Cardiff and Miss Fossie Swanson. Music was by Mrs. Ray Cozad, organist and Robert Honeyman, soloist. Bearers were O.T. Lister, Walter Bishop, W. L. Carlisle, C. O. Smith, Robert Olson, Glen Shook.
He was born May 4, 1861, at Three Rivers, Mich. he was married in 1884 in Kansas to Sarah McLaughlin, who died in 1934. He resided in Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma before moving in 1907 to Auburn, Neb., where he resided for 38 years.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Mettie Mart and Mrs. Bessie Douglas of Emerson, Mrs Cressie Gearhart of Red Oak and Mrs Roy Hodges of Farragut; two sons, James of Red Oak and Vernon of California; 57 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Ungry had made his home here with a son, James, for 10 years. Last fall, he went to the Horton Nursing Home at Glenwood.
He was born at Three Rivers, Mich. He had lived in Auburn, Neb. For 38 years before moving here.
Survivors are: four daughters, Mrs. Mettie Mart and Mrs. Bessie Douglas both of Emerson, Mrs. Cressie Gearhart of Red Oak, and Mrs. Roy Hodges of Farragut; two sons, James of Red Oak and Vernon of California; 57 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
