Albert Roscoe Cumbee, 86, of Blue Grass Trail, Newport, Va., departed this life on Monday, December 27, 2010, at Carilion Giles Community Hospital at Pearisburg.

Born in Maybrook, on June 26, 1924, he was a son of the late James Luther and Mary Ellen Lang Cumbee. He was one of 13 children and was retired from the Town of Blacksburg.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita "Tootsie" Cumbee; and eleven of his brothers and sisters. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Eunice and Robert Sexton, of Newport; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 1, 2011, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in the Albert Cumbee Cemetery at his home in Newport.
