Lloyd Richard Froese passed away December 28, 2010, at the age of 64.

The son of Bernard and Alice Loewen Froese was born April 10, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a young boy he was raised in Inola. He attended Inola Public Schools and was a member of the graduating class of 1964.

Wanting to continue his education, Lloyd enrolled at Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore, and later graduated with his teaching degree from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. A short time later Lloyd received his first teaching and coaching job with Catoosa Public Schools. It was also while working at Catoosa that he met his future wife, fellow teacher Robin Warren. They were married December 28, 1984, in Gore, Oklahoma. They lived in Catoosa for a few years, before moving to Inola in 1987. Lloyd retired from teaching in 1999 with 26 years at Catoosa Public Schools.

After a short rest, he began working again for Rainbow Concrete. He drove a cement truck for the next 11 years. In his spare time he could be found enjoying his children, camping, sports, NASCAR, or drag racing. In 1984 he was part of a racing team that won the Mile High Nationals in Denver, Colorado. His biggest love though was his family. While still teaching, he quit coaching to spend more time with his two children, Clayton and Sharon. He coached all his son's sports in little league and he never missed a ball game or dance recital. His kids were his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Alice.

Survivors include his wife Robin of the home, son, Clayton Froese of Stillwater, daughter, Sharon Froese of the home; sisters, Bernadine Bixler of Raytown, Missouri, Alice Ingram and husband Lonnie of Ochelata, and Alma Ruth Froese of Ochelata; and nephews, Robert, Ryan, Dyllan, Damion and Remington Bixler, Stanton Ingram, Brian Corder, Dan Spencer, Chad, Kyle, Bryce and Blake Warren, Sam and Schuyler Backlar, Jayden Seely, Phil and Jakobi McDonald, and nieces Julie Spencer, Stacy and Kelli Jo Corder, Tiffany McDonald, Courtney, Presley, Vanessa, Kennedy, and Addison Warren, and Tricia and Justyce Bixler.

Funeral services for Lloyd will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Eden Mennonite Church. Pastor Jim Page will officiate. Burial will follow at the Eden Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of the Inola Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held Monday, January 3, 2010, from 1 - 8 p.m.
