Obituary
Hugh Earnest Ross was born Sept. 24, 1881 in this county and has resided all his life in this immediate community. He has been afflicted by Spinal Meningitis in early youth and had never enjoyed good health, but the last illness was brief, extending only over one week's period. He passed away Sunday, May 4th at 5:30 p.m. aged 42 years, 7 months and 10 days.
He leaves to mourn his loss the father and mother, three sisters and two brothers; Edith Nickel of Des Moines, Phoebe Orth, Fannie McMurry, George and Ben Ross of Corydon, besides a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home conducted by Rev. M.c. Deweese. Interment was made at Corydon cemetery.
