Una was the Daughter of James T. (15 Jul 1829 - 26 Mar 1915, born in Georgia) and his second wife, Sarah J. Brooks. Una was married to Albert "Bert" Carter and was the Mother of Charles Albert (1908) and Florence (1910) Carter. Bert was a linotype operator and was living in Columbus, GA when he came down with tuberculosis, which ultimately took him at a relatively young age. He had several other relatives pass from this affliction also. It was somewhat common then.
