Mr. Harry Austin Price, age 99, of Pascagoula passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2012 in Pascagoula. He was born Nov. 1, 1912 in Foxworth, MS and has been a resident of Pascagoula since 1941.
"Paw Paw" as he was known to many, retired in 1979 from Ingalls Shipbuilding as an Electrical Supervisor and was a member of IBEW # 733. At the time of his death, he was the oldest living member of Elks Lodge BPO # 1120 and had been a member for 67 years, also a member of Masonic Lodge # 419 of Pascagoula. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Doris (Manning) Price, son; Gerald A. Price, his parents; Harry Sr and Laurette (Wade) Price, brothers; Charles (Earline) Price and Frank (Blanche) Price, sister; Barbara Hoppy) Price.
He is survived by his son; Donald (Wilma) Price, Pascagoula, granddaughter; Patricia (Thomas) Bowers, Baja, CA, grandson; Don (Leslie) Price, Pascagoula, six great-grandchildren; Jeremy *Susan) Perex, Angel Perex and Joshua Perez, all of Nashville, Seth Price, Joshua Price and Cheryl Ann Price, all of Pascagoula, Donald Price and Jennifer Murawski, both of Port Huron, Mi.; four great-great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law; Ruth Aguilar Price, Gautier, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, 10:30-12:30pm, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Elks Lodge Memorial will be at 12:30 in the funeral home parlor. Funeral Service to follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Jay Cook officiating. Interment will be at Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula.
