Capt. Thomas Cobb Services at Dunbar Funeral Home Today

Thomas a Cobb, 64, passed away yesterday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Preston H. Hennies, 1401 Hagood Ave. Capt. Cobb, as he was known by his associates, was a veteran Southern Railway conductor. He entered the services of the Southern during the year 1887, completing a service record of 45 years, serving as passenger conductor at the time of his death.

Mr. Cobb was a member of the Acacia Lodge #94, A. F. M.

Funeral services will be held at Dunbar Funeral Home, 1527 Gervais St., at 4 o'clock this afternoon. The Rev. R. L. Holroyd, pastor of Main Street Methodist Church, will conduct the services. The interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Mrs. Cobb, wife of Mr. Cobb, preceded him to the grave three weeks ago. Surviving is one son, J. T. Cobb; two daughters, Mrs. P. H. Hennies and Miss Louise Cobb, all of Columbia; four grandchildren, J. T. Cobb, Jr., Richard, Marguerite and Preston Hennies, Jr., and a number of nieces and nephews.
