William Edward Durham

William Edward "Bull" Durham, Jr., of Durant, 85, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2006 at Montfort Jones Hospital in Kosciusko.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Matt Brady officiating. Burial will be in Mizpah Cemetery in Durant. Visitation will be from 12 noon until time for the service.

Mr. Durham was born on April 8, 1921 in Durant, the son of the late William Edward Durham and Mary Durham. He was a veteran of World War II, and a retired yard master with Illinois Central Railroad. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Durant.

Mr. Durham was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Katherine Allen, and a brother, Robert Durham.

Survivors include: his wife, Ephimia Toney Durham of Durant; two daughters, Sharron Smither-man of Crystal Springs, and Sandra Pitts of Montesano, Washington; one brother Vernon Durham of San Diego, California; two sisters, Dorothy Barham of Clinton and Shirley Quinn of Osyka; five grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
