Homegoing celebration for Addie M. Blanks, Saturday, September 14, 2002, 10 AM, New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Dickinson. Burial will follow, Mainland Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Roderick Cunningham, pastor and officiant. Visitation, Friday, September 13, 2-6 at the funeral home. A wake is scheduled from 7-8 at the church.
She leaves to cherish her memories; children, Velora Jones, Houston, Gloria Mickens (Louis), Hitchcock, Eugene Hayes and Allen Hayes both of Dickinson; siblings, Myrtel Johnson and Stene Gilmore both of Dickinson; grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Addie married Edward Hayes on May 18, 1944 in Washington County. The 1950 census shows them both living with her parents in Washington County.
