1889: 1 July: Levi steps down as Sheriff amongst a threat by Young Republicans to bring charges against him. Upon resigning to Gov. Humphreys, the lawsuit charges were dropped. Humphreys appoints Fred Willard to replace Levi as sheriff.
1889: 3 July: Willard (Republican Party) is cleaning up the jail. (Probably one of the issues)
1889: 9 Dec: Chauncey Flora (Democrat) replaces Willard and finishes Churchill's 2nd Term.
1893: Levi lived at 735 Oak St.
1901: Levi was part owner of grocers Progress (Levi Churchill & J.V. Pollinger)
