Mrs. Elizabeth Barr, a resident of the Coolspring section, died in her home on Brookville R. D. 3 Sunday afternoon following a six weeks' illness. She was in the 83rd year of her life.
The deceased was born in Pennsylvania, March 18 1864, a daughter of Alexander and Rebecca (Nolph) Mauk. She was united in marriage to Hugh Barr August 18, 1881, and the couple had made their home near Coolspring since their marriage.
A member of the Coolspring Presbyterian Church, her death is sincerely mourned by myriad friends.
She is survived by the following sons and daughters: Mrs. S. C. Hadden, of Coolspring; Alexander Barr, of Canton, 0.; Mrs. Emma Doerr, Paul and Howard Barr, of Brookville R. D. 3; Mrs. C. E. Radaker, of Pittsburgh, and Donald Barr, of Big Run R. D. 1.
Two sisters, Mrs. F. S. Mann, of McKees Rocks, and Mrs. Laura Yount, of Vandergrift; one brother, Martin Mauk, of Mahaffey; 3 grandchildren , and 21 great-grandchildren also survive. Her husband and three children preceded her in death.
Friends will be received in the Morrison Funeral Home here until 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon and funeral services will be held in the Coolspring Presbyterian Church at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the Knoxdale Cemetery.
