RUSH CITY MAN VICTIM
OF INFANTILE PARALYSIS


The dreaded disease known as infantile paralysis [aka: Polio] claimed its first victim of the year in Chisago County on Monday evening, September 14, when Alvah T. Anderson, young son of Mr. and Mrs. Hjalmar Anderson of rush City, succumbed after only a brief illness at his home Mr. Anderson died at the age of twenty-four years, had been a resident of Rush City all his life, and had lately attended Gustavus Adolphus college with every promise of success. He had planned to resume his studies there at the opening of this term. The immediate survivors are his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Private funeral service were conducted at the home at two o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, September 15, Pastor E. A. Bongfeldt of the First Lutheran Church officiating. Business was suspended in Rush City during the services.
